Thoroughly wash your hands. If you have long hair take care to have it secured. Thoroughly clean the phone before beginning. Make sure the stock screen protector is removed. Follow the instructions to the letter.
When you are about to do the second set of curings with the UV light I would suggest pressing on the fingerprint sensor and maybe going around the area with the light as you fold your thumb down. Don't hesitate to run the light a couple of extra times. The light will go off at intervals. I would concentrate the light on the corner edges as well.
In the end it will look as nice as the bare screen. Re-register your fingerprints.
I have relatively dry hands and light fingerprints and they often take me several times to enter. This new screen protector definitely made it even more difficult, but it does work. Sometimes I have to lick my thumb, but the overall experience has been worth it to me. This is the only glass screen protector that has worked for me on any of the plus phones I have owned (S7, S9 and S10)
